Signs it is time to switch
Quality is slipping
Order errors, damaged parcels, repeated delays, rising customer complaints: your reviews and brand suffer.
Costs are drifting
Poorly justified price rises, new extra fees, invoices that are hard to check: you no longer know what you really pay.
Trust has gone
Lack of transparency, inaccurate stock, contacts who change or stop replying: it is no longer a partnership.
Switching 3PL: the steps to get it right
- Take stock: review your contract (notice, exit terms, data ownership) and measure precisely what is going wrong.
- Define your needs: volumes, SKUs, sales channels, countries, expected service level, in a clear specification.
- Choose the new 3PL: compare several offers on an identical basis and check each company's soundness and integrity.
- Prepare the transfer: schedule, joint stock count, stock transport, set-up of connections with your store and marketplaces.
- Go live and monitor: phased start where possible, quality KPIs tracked from the first weeks.
Choose the right moment
Avoid switching just before or during your peaks (Black Friday, Christmas, sales). Ideally, start the search several months before your contract or notice period ends, so you can move during a quiet period.
Watch points for the transfer
- The notice period and any exit penalties in the contract.
- The exit stock count, carried out jointly to avoid disputes over discrepancies.
- Sales continuity: safety stock, customer communication, handling of returns in progress.
- IT connections: store, marketplaces, ERP and carriers, tested before the switch.

Switching 3PL: frequently asked questions
How long does it take to switch 3PL?
It depends on your notice period, volumes and number of SKUs. The key is to plan ahead: start the search several months before your target switch date, outside peak periods.
Can I switch 3PL without interrupting sales?
Yes, with good preparation: safety stock, a joint stock count, connections tested in advance and, where possible, a phased switch.
What should I check in my current contract before leaving?
The term and notice period, exit conditions and fees, stock count and return arrangements, and ownership of your data.
How can I be sure the new 3PL will be better?
By comparing offers on an identical basis, visiting the warehouse and checking the company's soundness and integrity. Log Market network warehouses are vetted on these criteria and reassessed regularly.
How much does Log Market's support cost?
Nothing: the assessment, the selection and the go-live follow-up are free and without commitment.
